B4164 Pair of Portuguese Colonial Rosewood Chairs
of lovely faded colour, the toprails in the form of broken pediments centred by stylised scallopshells, with baluster splats, caned seats, the seatrails also centred by scallopshells, raised on cabriole front legs joined by stretchers. One chair dating from circa 1740, the other possibly later as the construction differs slightly
